Hey there!

Welcome to my blog. My name is Summer and I love to share my adventures in marriage, beauty, style, home and travel. I hope you feel inspired!

One dress styled for all seasons.

Last week I took a trip to Tj Maxx hoping I would find an outfit for a friend’s “80’s Aspen Extreme Party”. Much to my surprise there was a TON of neon … why on earth did they have so much??? Neon really isn’t that attractive. Why in the world did they have so much …. Hmmm …. I’ll ponder later.

What we wore to the 80’s Aspen Extreme Party

While rummaging through the seas of knit sweaters, silky blouses, matching loungewear sets and not so great dresses, something caught my eye.

Something you may not know about me… I am a SUCKER for a maxi dress! Especially when they’re flowy and fearlessly calling me to pack a bag and take a trip to a tropical destination. They are my jam!!

So here I am digging through copious amounts of fabric dangling from hangers and I spot “the one”. A long flowy slinky like blue fabric with cute African style pattern, and it stopped me in my tracks. I didn’t try it on, because I KNEW, this is the one I’ve been digging for!

“The One”

Granted it’s still ranging from 30-40 degrees here in Park City, Utah, but I simply could not pass on this dress. I foresee many summer days and nights in this little number. But it got me thinking… how do I wear this before summer time?? How can I style this to make it practical for all seasons?!

I had fun styling this dress, and shockingly enough, my favorite look out of these three, is the winter/fall look! I am LOVING the sweatshirt and belt combo with a Gigi Pip hat and Chelsea boots from Sam Edelman!

What do you think? Which is your favorite look? Tell me in the comments! 🤍🩵💙

With love,

Summer
